From May 8 to 11, 2024, the 57th Annual Meeting of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology (AEPC) took place in the picturesque city of Porto, Portugal. This renowned event brought together experts from across Europe to share the latest research and advancements in pediatric and congenital cardiology.
Researchers from TUM, the coordinator of our KTM consortium, presented the findings of the manuscript “Physical and psychosocial benefits of sports participation among children and adolescents with chronic diseases”.
This comprehensive review, developed within the KTM project, highlighted the positive effects of sports on children with chronic diseases, providing evidence that physical activity can significantly improve their quality of life and health outcomes.
By sharing this knowledge, we can foster collaboration and encourage the adoption of evidence-based practices in sports interventions.
